We believe that we have executed excellent work. We are pleased to announce the release of our first physical product — a metal seed box. Our primary objective was to provide metal gadgets with easy-to-use features and outstanding design properties for securely storing access to your assets. Furthermore, we aimed to ensure the highest quality at an affordable price.

To make your life easier, we have also released updated iOS and macOS applications with new features designed to assist you in navigating through the metal seed box.
Simple yet effective

A metal seed box contains 3 stainless steel credit card-shaped plates. These plates utilise our key feature of the smart split (3 by 2 split) method for storing your seed phrase.
Prevents against a single point of failure
We use the smart split (3 by 2 split) mnemonic phrase distribution method which is a popular strategy for securing cryptocurrency wallets. It involves splitting a seed phrase into three parts, then distributing those parts across two separate locations. This provides an added layer of protection against a single point of failure, such as losing one of the seed phrase parts or having them stolen. Even if one of the locations is compromised, the attacker would still need access to the other location to gain access to the wallet. Overall, the smart split mnemonic phrase distribution method is a recommended best practice for anyone looking to secure their cryptocurrency assets.
Double-sided entries
1 plate stores 2/3 of the seed phrase. Even though there is still a very minimal risk (but it’s still present) of cracking 1/3, we aimed to make it harder for potential intruders to obtain the information. Often, seeds are stolen by simply taking a photo. We reasoned that splitting 2/3 of the seed phrase into 2 blocks and placing them on opposite sides would require physically switching sides in order to read the full content of the plate. While this may appear trivial and insignificant, we believe it could potentially increase the likelihood of protecting the keys.
Upside down content
Each plate has double-sided content. If you pay attention, you will notice that the content is engraved in an upside-down position on each side. We observed that in certain situations, punching can have a physical impact on the opposite side of the plate, potentially interfering with the information stored there. We took steps to ensure that if the punch marking happens to be deeper than usual, it will not obstruct the information on the opposite side.
Stainless steal
There are plenty of options on the market that offer storage solutions made from more durable materials, such as titanium. We considered using titanium, but it would significantly increase the cost of the product, which was our primary obstacle. One of our major goals is to provide cost-effective storage. We believe that stainless steel, with a melting point of 1400°C (2550°F), is sufficient to make your storage highly resistant to almost 100% of fire incidents. BIP39 manual and dedicated application
The box set comes with a BIP39 manual where you can read words and their corresponding binary codes.
However, we wanted to make it even easier for you. In our iOS and macOS applications, we’ve integrated a binary search for the BIP39 word list. You can search for words or their binary counterparts in a very convenient manner. And don’t worry, the app doesn’t connect to the network, no information is stored, and everything is developed by us without using third-party plugins — you are very safe.
Individual plates if you make a mistake
When using any device that requires physical marking, there is a risk of making a mistake that could be very costly. Many, if not most, services providing physical metal storage lack a cost-effective solution. Instead, users are left to themselves to buy a new set. We have considered this issue as well.
